Yesterday the American indices rose significantly. Today all three of them are showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 rose above 4980 and reached the R1 resistance level. Then, the price started falling. It even reached 4970 at noon. After that, the price started rising strongly. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the session at the R3 and 5015.

Today, the price is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers show their strength once again, the price might even reach 5025 today. But if the bears take control over the market, the price could drop to 5000 and the Pivot Point.

The price even went up above the R2 resistance level and 17870 at the beginning of the American trading session. After that, it started falling slowly. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day slightly above 17850.

Today, the price is falling slowly. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 17790 and reach the Pivot Point. But if they do, the price might reach 17890 today.
