On Friday the American indices performed differently. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down a bit, but the NASDAQ 100 showed mixed sentiment. Today all three of them are rising strongly, though. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

The S&P 500 went down a bit on Friday. The price finished the last session of the year at 3860. Today it is rising strongly, though. The price is already above the R1 resistance level and 3890. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might go up above today’s R2 and 3900. But if the bears counterattack, the price could return below today’s R1 and 3880.

SP 500
