Yesterday the American indices performed differently. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down, but the NASDAQ 100 managed to rise. Today, the S&P 500 and the DJIA index are falling, but the NASDAQ 100 is showing mixed sentiment. From the data front, the GDP in Q1 will be published. Anyway, let’s start the analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, the S&P 500 managed to rise a bit. However, the price started falling heavily in the morning. It even dropped below the S1 support level and 4120 during the American trading session. Then, in the late afternoon, the price started rising significantly. In consequence, it finished the session at 4150.
During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the S&P 500 went down below 4040. Then, in the morning, the price rose above 4150. After that, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling once again. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could even drop below 4120 and reach today’s S1. But if they do, the price might even reach 4160.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, the price managed to rise a bit. However, it started falling heavily in the morning. The price even dropped below the S1 support level and 13570 during the American trading session. Then, in the late afternoon, it started rising strongly. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the session above the Pivot Point, at 13840.
During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the price went down below 13810. Then, in the morning, it rose above 13870. After that, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling once again. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 13800 and reach the EMA 200. But if they do, the price might even rise above 13900.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was the weakest one yesterday. First, the price managed to rise a bit, though. Then, in the morning, it started falling heavily. The price even reached the S2 support level in the late afternoon.However, it managed to rise a bit during the last two hours of the American trading session. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day slightly above the S2 support level and 32850.
During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the price went down below 32700. Then, in the morning, it rose above 32850. After that, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling once again. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could even drop below 32600 today. But if they do, the price might reach 32900 and the Pivot Point.
