Yesterday the American indices went down. Today, all three of them are showing mixed sentiment. From the data front, all eyes will be focused on the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee’s interest rate decision and the press conference. Anyway, let’s move on to the analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 reached 4495. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, the price started rising. It even went up above the EMA 200 at noon. After that, the price started falling heavily. It even dropped below the S2 support level and 4465 in the late afternoon. However, in the evening, the price managed to rise. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the session a little above the S1 and 4490.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below the Pivot Point and 4485. Then, in the morning, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach the EMA 200 and 4500 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could fall below 4480.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped below 15380. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. The price even went up above 15440 at noon. After that, it started falling heavily. The price even dropped below the S2 support level and 15250 at the beginning of the American trading session. After that, it started rising once again, though. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day a little above 15380.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below the Pivot Point and 15350. Then, in the morning, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might reach the EMA 200 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could even fall to 15300.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, during the Asian trading session, the price reached 34900. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. The price even reached 34990 at noon. After that, it started falling heavily. The price even dropped below the S2 support level and 34610 in the late afternoon. However, in the evening, it managed to rise. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the session slightly above 34800.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below the Pivot Point and 34780. Then, in the morning, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might reach 34900 and the EMA 200 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could even fall to 34700.
