Yesterday the American indices managed to rise. Today, all three of them are falling, though. From the data front, all eyes will be focused on the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee’s interest rate decision and the press conference. Anyway, let’s move on to the analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 dropped below 5205. Then, the price started rising. It went up above the Pivot Point and 5215 at the beginning of the European trading session.
After that, the price started falling. It even dropped below the EMA 200 and reached 5185 in the early afternoon. Right after that, the price started rising strongly. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the session a little below 5240, exactly at the R1 resistance level.
Today, the price is falling, though. It is already below 5235. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 5225 and reach today’s Pivot Point. But if they do, the price might even reach 5250 today.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the price reached 18150. Then, it started rising. The price went up above the Pivot Point and 18250 at the beginning of the European trading session.
After that, it started falling. The price even dropped below 18060 at the beginning of the American trading session. Right after that, it started rising strongly. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day a little above 18270.
Today, the price is falling, though. It is already below 18240. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 18200 and the EMA 200. But if they do, the price might even reach 18300 today.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was the strongest one yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped below 39120, though. Then, at noon, it started rising strongly. In consequence, the price finished the session above the R2 resistance level, slightly below 39550.
Today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling, though. It is already below 39520. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 39410 and even reach today’s Pivot Point. But if they do, the price might reach 39650 today.
