Yesterday was a really volatile session. In the end, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to rise, and the NASDAQ 100 showed mixed sentiment. Today the S&P 500 is showing mixed sentiment, but the DJIA index and the NASDAQ 100 are going up significantly. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

Yesterday was a really volatile session. At the beginning of the European trading session the S&P 500 started going down. In the early evening the price even dropped below the EMA 200. Then, it managed to rise strongly, though. In consequence, the price finished the session slightly below 4180.

Today it is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers show their strength once again, the price might even go up above the R1 resistance level and reach 4190. But if the bears take control over the market, the price could drop below 4170 and reach the Pivot Point.

NASDAQ 100 was also really volatile yesterday. At the beginning of the European trading session the price started going down. In the afternoon it even dropped below 13100. However, in the evening it managed to rise strongly. In consequence, the price finished the session slightly below 13200.

During today’s Asian trading session the price was going down. However, it started rising significantly in the morning. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might even reach the R1 resistance level and 13240 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 13160 and reach the Pivot Point.

The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. At the beginning of the European trading session the price started going down. In the early evening the price even reached the EMA 200. Then, it managed to rise strongly, though. In consequence, the price finished the session slightly above 34100.

This morning, the price started going up even more. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might even rise above the R1 resistance level and 34200. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 34100.
