Yesterday the American indices performed differently. The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ 100 managed to rise, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down. Today all three of them are rising strongly, though. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, the S&P 500 dropped to 4455. Then, at noon, the price started rising strongly. It even reached 4475 in the early evening. After that, the price started falling. 90 minutes later, it dropped below 4460. However, during the last hour of the American trading session, the price managed to go up a bit. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the day a little above 4470, at the EMA 200.
Today, the price opened 50 pips higher. During the Asian trading session, it managed to rise above 4530. Then, in the morning, the price started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop to 4510 today. But if they do, the price might even reach 4540.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, the price dropped below 15270. Then, at noon, it started rising strongly. The price even went up above 15420 in the early evening. After that, it started falling. 90 minutes later, the price dropped below 15320. However, during the last hour of the American trading session, it managed to go up a bit. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day slightly above the EMA 200 and 15370.
Today, the price opened 190 pips higher. During the Asian trading session, it managed to rise above 15630. Then, in the morning, the price started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop to 15500 today. But if they do, the price might even reach 15650.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was the weakest one yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped to 34600. Then, in the morning, it started rising. The price even went up above the Pivot Point and reached 34700 at the beginning of the European trading session. After that, it started falling once again. The price even reached 34600 in the early afternoon. Right after that, it started rising significantly. The price even reached 34790 at the beginning of the American trading session.
Then, it started falling one more time. The price even dropped below 34520 and reached the S1 support level in the evening. However, during the last hour of the American trading session, it managed to go up a bit. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day at 34600
Today, the price opened 330 pips higher. During the Asian trading session, it even reached 35000. Then, in the morning, the price started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop to 34850 today. But if they do, the price might go up above 35000.
