Yesterday the American indices managed to rise once again. Today, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average are going up even more, but the NASDAQ 100 is showing mixed sentiment. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 reached 4515. Then, in the morning, the price started falling. It even dropped below 4500 at noon. After that, the price started rising once again. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the session slightly below 4530.
Today, the price is still going up. The volatility is really low, though. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might rise above today’s R1 resistance level and 4540. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 4520 and reach the Pivot Point today.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the price rose above 15460. Then, it started falling. The price even dropped to 15360 at noon. After that, it started rising once again. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the session a little above 15510.
Today, the price is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is really low, though. If the buyers show their strength once again, the price might go up above 15550 and reach today’s R1 resistance level. But if the bears take control over the market, the price could drop below the Pivot Point and reach 15450 today.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, during the early hours of the Asian trading session, the price rose above 34940. Then, in the morning, it started falling. The price even dropped below 34850 at the beginning of the American trading session. After that, it started rising strongly. The price even went up above the R1 resistance level and 35080 at the beginning of the American trading session. 30 minutes later, it dropped to 34860. Right after that, the price started rising once again, though. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day a little above 35020.
Today, the price is still going up. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach today’s R1. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 35000 and reach the Pivot Point today.
