Yesterday the American indices went down. Today all three of them are showing mixed sentiment. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 reached 4320. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, the price started rising. It even went up above 4360 and the Pivot Point in the late afternoon. However, the price dropped heavily in the evening. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the session significantly below the S1 support level, slightly below 4300.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price fell below 4285. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach the Pivot Point today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 4280.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped below 14940. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. The price even went up above the Pivot Point and 15130 in the late afternoon. However, it fell heavily in the evening. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the session significantly below the S1 support level, at 14850.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below 14800. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach the Pivot Point today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop to 14750.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, the price dropped below the S1 support level and 33650. Then, in the afternoon, it started rising. The price even went up above the EMA 200 and 33980 in the early evening. After that, it started falling heavily, though. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the session at 33530.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price reached 33430. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach the Pivot Point today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop to 33350.
