Yesterday the American indices performed differently. The NASDAQ 100 managed to rise, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 showed mixed sentiment. Today, the NASDAQ 100 is still rising, but the S&P 500 and the DJIA index are showing mixed sentiment. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 dropped below 4215. Then, at noon the price started rising. It even went up above the Pivot Point and reached 4280 in the early evening. After that, the price started falling, though. It dropped below 4240 in the evening. However, during the last 60 minutes of the American trading session, the price managed to rise a bit. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the day at 4250.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price reached 4260. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 4230 today. But if they do, the price might rise above 4270.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped below the S1 support level and 14520.Then, at noon, it started rising. The price even went up above the R1 resistance level and 14850 in the early evening. After that, it started falling, though. The price reached 14700 in the evening. However, during the last 60 minutes of the American trading session, it managed to rise a bit. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day slightly above the Pivot Point, at 14750.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price rose above 14820. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could even drop to the Pivot Point and 14700 today. But if they do, the price might go up above the EMA 200 and reach today’s R1.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, during the Asian trading session, the price dropped below the S2 support level and 33020. Then, at noon, it started rising. The price even went up above the Pivot Point and 33360 in the early evening. After that, it started falling, though. The price reached the S2 and 33040 in the evening. However, during the last 60 minutes of the American trading session, it managed to rise a bit. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day a little above 33100.
During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below 33060. Then, it started rising. The price even reached the Pivot Point at the beginning of the European trading session. After that, it started falling once again. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could even drop to 33000. But if they do, the price might reach 33250 today.
