Yesterday the American indices performed differently. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to rise, but the NASDAQ 100 showed mixed sentiment. Today, the DJIA index is going up even more, the S&P 500 is showing mixed sentiment and the NASDAQ 100 is falling. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, the S&P 500 rose above the R1 resistance level and reached 4209. Then, in the late afternoon, it started falling. In consequence, the price finished the session at 4995.

During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the S&P 500 dropped to 4580. Then, the price started rising. It even went up above the Pivot Point in the morning. After that, the price started falling. However, at the beginning of the European trading session, the bulls took control over the market once again. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might even reach today’s R1 and 4600 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop to 4580.

NASDAQ 100

NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, the price rose above 16060. Then, in the late afternoon, it started falling. In consequence, the price finished the session a little below 15940.

During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the NASDAQ 100 dropped below 15850. Then, the price started rising. It even went up above 15900 in the morning. After that, the price started falling once again. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could even drop to the EMA 200 and 15800 today. But if they do, the price might reach the Pivot Point.
