On Friday the American indices performed differently. The NASDAQ 100 showed mixed sentiment, but the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down. However, all three of them are rising strongly today. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

Friday was a really interesting session. First, the S&P 500 rose above 4160. Then, during the European trading session, the price started going down heavily. It even dropped below the S1 support level in the late afternoon. However, the price managed to rise in the evening. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the last session of the week slightly below 4140.

Today, the price is going up strongly, though. It is already above 4150. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might rise above 4160 and even reach the R1 resistance level. But if the bears counterattack, the price could fall to the EMA 200.

NASDAQ 100

NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile on Friday. First, the price rose above 13490. Then, during the European trading session, it started going down heavily. The price even reached the S2 support level in the evening. However, during the last hours of Friday’s session, it managed to rise. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day slightly above the S1, a little below 13400.

Today, the price is going up strongly, though. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might rise above 13450 and even reach the R1 resistance level. But if the bears counterattack, the price could fall to the Pivot Point and 13400.

Dow Jones Industrial Average

The DJIA index was really volatile on Friday as well. First, the price managed to rise and even reached the EMA 200. Then, during the European trading session, it started going down significantly. However, the price managed to rise once again in the evening. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the last session of the week at 33350.

Today, the price is going up strongly, though. It is already above 33450. If the buyers continue generating firm demand, the price might rise above the R1 resistance level and even reach 34600. But if the bears counterattack, the price could return below 33400 and reach the Pivot Point.
