Yesterday the American indices performed differently. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average went down, but the NASDAQ 100 showed mixed sentiment. Today, nothing really has happened. The volatility is really low. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:

S&P 500

Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, the S&P 500 dropped below the S3 support level and 4420. Then, in the afternoon, the price started rising. It even went up above the S1 and 4440 in the evening. However, during the last hours of the American trading session, the price fell once again. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the day a little below the S2, at 4430.

Today the price is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers take control over the market, the price might even reach 4450 and the R1 resistance level today. But if the bears show their strength, the price could drop below 4420.

SP 500

NASDAQ 100

NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, the price dropped below the S2 support level and the EMA 200. Then, in the afternoon, it started rising. In consequence, the price finished the session a little below the Pivot Point, slightly above 15240.

Today the price is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers take control over the market, the price might rise above 15300 today. But if the bears show their strength, the price could drop below the EMA 200 and reach 15150.

NASDAQ 100

Dow Jones Industrial Average

The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, the price dropped below the S3 support level and 34200. Then, in the afternoon, it started rising. The price even went up above the S2 and the EMA 200 in the evening. However, during the last hours of the American trading session, it fell once again. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day significantly below the S2 support level, slightly above 34320.

Today the price is showing mixed sentiment. The volatility is rather low, though. If the buyers take control over the market, the price might rise above the EMA 200 and even reach 34500. But if the bears show their strength, the price could drop below 34200.
