Yesterday the American indices rose significantly. Today all three of them are showing mixed sentiment. What can they do next? Let’s try to answer that question in an analysis, S&P 500 first:
S&P 500
Yesterday was a really interesting session. First, during the Asian trading session, the S&P 500 reached 5145. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, the price started falling. It even dropped below the Pivot Point and 5115 in the early afternoon.
After that, the price started rising strongly. It even went up above the R2 resistance level and 5180 in the evening. However, during the last 90 minutes of the American trading session, the price dropped a bit. In consequence, the S&P 500 finished the day at 5175.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price managed to rise above 5180. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 5160 and reach the Pivot Point today. But if they do, the price might rise above 5190.
NASDAQ 100
NASDAQ 100 also was really volatile yesterday. First, during the Asian trading session, the price rose above the EMA 200 and 18090. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling. The price even dropped below the S1 support level and reached 17930 at the beginning of the American trading session.
After that, it started rising strongly. The price even went up above the R2 resistance level and reached 18240 in the evening. However, during the last 60 minutes of the American trading session, it dropped a bit. In consequence, the NASDAQ 100 finished the day a little above 18220.
During today’s Asian trading session, the price managed to rise above 18250. Then, at the beginning of the European trading session, it started falling. If the buyers don’t generate some serious appetite soon, the price could drop below 18140 and reach the Pivot Point. But if they do, the price might even reach 18300.
Dow Jones Industrial Average
The DJIA index was really volatile yesterday as well. First, during the Asian trading session, the price managed to rise above 38860. Then, in the morning, it started falling. The price even dropped below the Pivot Point and 38660 in the early afternoon.
After that, it started rising strongly. The price even went up above the R2 resistance level and 39090 in the evening. However, during the last 90 minutes of the American trading session, it dropped a bit. In consequence, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day a little above 39010.
During the first hours of today’s Asian trading session, the price dropped below 38990. Then, it started rising. If the buyers continue generating sufficient demand, the price might go up above 39100 today. But if the bears counterattack, the price could drop below 38850.
